Comparative media research workshop, September 2018, Oxford University. $1,000 department grant awarded to attend.

Louise Elizabeth George Doctoral Fellow 2018-2019

The fellowship is an annual award given by the School of Journalism and Mass Communication to recognize work by a doctoral candidate.

UW-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication Leadership Award 2018 and 2017.

Awarded for organizing the Communication Crossroads departmental conference.  

University of Wisconsin Graduate School.

$1200 conference travel grant awarded to present at ICA 2018

University of Wisconsin Elections Research Center.

2017 - $750 grant awarded by the Elections Research Center to present at ICA 2018


2017 - $1400 grant awarded for undertaking content analysis research on the United Kingdom Independence Party. The funding was used to hire two undergraduate students to hand code UKIP press releases and media stories about the party. 


2016 - $1500 grant awarded for undertaking ethnographic fieldwork and interviewing with the Wisconsin Green Party
